BAT KLIS LOOKING FOR A COMPLIANCE MANAGER – SUPPORT/EXECUTION

LOCATION: Sunway Geo, Kuala Lumpur
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES -
This role supports the Corporate Compliance (Delivery) team in its delivery of compliance services to the DRBU/EMs through the provision of best-in-class training solutions, user friendly process and systems/app documentation, impactful communications, Super-User support on compliance systems/apps, and delivery of managed/coordinated process simplification and automation initiatives. Provide the “Value Add” component of the Corporate Compliance (Delivery) team to DRBU/EM and Globe BI&C communities – making compliance both efficient and effective. Being the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) to IDT. This role provides Direct support to Commercial Units in providing BAT with a robust compliance framework that supports its Standards of Business Conduct and instils/champions a value of delivering with integrity, as well as providing Level 2 support for Legal Compliance controls and processes. Whilst ensuring the highest level of integrity in the way business is conducted, deliver value to business through compliance process efficiencies, data/information transparency and good governance.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Managing a team of Compliance Analysts in the provision of the following services across Sanctions, Conflicts of Interest, SoBC Signoff, Anti-Finance Crime, Gifts & Entertainment, and Policy Management compliance topics:
- Managing/coordinating compliance process simplification and automation initiatives using project management methodologies (waterfall and agile).
- Managing/coordinating the deployment of existing systems/apps to DRBU/EMs
- Administering compliance systems/apps – including user access/privileges and updating/maintaining master data.
- Coordinating and conducting User Acceptance testing of enhancements/fixes to existing compliance systems/apps.
- Providing super user support on compliance systems/apps
- Being Single Point of Contact (SPoC) with IDT on all systems/apps enhancements/fixes/initiatives
- Developing training plans, solutions, and collateral, including e-learning and identification and collaboration with appropriate platforms
- Developing process and systems guides
- Developing communications plans and collateral, including identifying appropriate modes of communication
- Supporting the full adoption of compliance systems/app across DRBU/EMs
- Collaborate with BI&C digitisation SME in:
- Rollout of global systems enhancements/fixes/initiatives
- Developing BI&C systems/app roadmap
- Identifying new simplification/automation opportunities
- Collaborate with Corporate Compliance (Delivery) team members in identifying training/communication/documentation needs, process simplification and automation opportunities.
- Engaging with, and communicate to, all levels of the organisation on updates to compliance processes and systems innovations/fixes.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience Required
- Implementing, managing, or having worked in an environment with a compliance program, informed by a compliance framework.
- Implementing and/or managing compliance controls in a highly digitised environment
- Using data analytics tools and analytical methods
- Relevant management experience
- Relevant experience in law, ethics, organizational business, or finance
- Participation in introduction of new process and systems initiatives/projects – specifically delivering business requirements, conducting user acceptance testing, training, and documentation.
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Knowledge of regulations – such as Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorism Financing, Tax Evasion, Sanctions, Export Controls, Anti-Competitive Behaviour.
- Project Management and/or Business Analysis skills.
- Business Engagement skills.
- Ability to develop training material, including working with training providers.
- Leading multi-functional work teams, where these are constituted to implement globe/area compliance process improvements and/or automation.
- Communication and influencing skills, continuously improving partnership with key collaborators.
- Skilled in use of analytical tools including database interrogating tools (i.e. SQL, MS Excel, others) .
BENEFICIAL
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or related field.
- Certified compliance professional is a plus.
- Project management or analysis certification would be well regarded.
