BAT KLIS LOOKING FOR A COMPLIANCE MANAGER – 1ST LINE OF DEFENCE

LOCATION: Sunway Geo, Kuala Lumpur
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
This role is responsible for managing a team responsible for assisting End Markets with their compliance to BAT’s Standards of Business Conduct, specifically to Anti-Financial Crimes, Policy Management, and Gifts & Entertainment. This would involve monitoring and reporting on End Market progress on compliance Key Performance Indicators (KPI), suggesting corrective actions, providing supporting training and documentation, as well as presenting progress, issues, and opportunities to management. Providing guidance to collaborators on legal compliance topics as well as conducting controls reviews. This role will provide direct support to End Markets in delivering a robust compliance 1st Line of Defence which supports its Standards of Business Conduct and instils/champions a value of delivering with integrity. Whilst ensuring the highest level of integrity in the way business is conducted, delivering value to business through compliance controls monitoring, reporting, data/information transparency, and good governance.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Managing a team of between 2 and 4 Compliance Analysts yet hands on in all the below activities.
- Monitoring on compliance key performance indicators and reporting outcomes and suggested corrective actions to End Markets (EM), for the following areas of compliance:
- ongoing sanctions screening
- Third Party Anti-Financial Crime risk assessment, including company structure deep dive analysis.
- Policy Management; and
- Gifts & Entertainment (G&E) requests.
- Engaging directly with collaborators in exercising the monitoring, reporting and remediation activities stated above.
- Presenting monitoring reports (Dashboards) at end market governance meetings.
- Providing End Markets with process guidance on Gifts & Entertainment, policy management, and Anti-Financial Crime risk assessment.
- Assisting End Markets in developing and processing requests for approval of deviation from Third Party Anti-Financial Crime Procedure.
- Conducting process and systems training, related to G&E, Policy management, and Anti-Financial Crime.
- Acting as Super User for Coupa Risk Assess (CRA), G&E Tracker, Policy Management System App, and other associated Apps, including being the 1st line of user support to End Market users.
- Collaborate with Internal Audit during audits – providing evidence of monitoring, reporting and completed corrective actions.
- Participating in user acceptance testing.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience Required
- Engaging with many stakeholders across multiple cultures.
- Working in a highly digitised environment – Being Tech savvy!
- Using data interrogation, management, analytics and reporting tools and analytical methods
- Some relevant experience in compliance, monitoring, and reporting.
