Purpose Statement

The Transformation Manager role is responsible to support the Group Head of NC Procurement in the development and delivery of the overall NC procurement strategy and annual plans. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing delivery of the integrated Global Procurement Plan, in particular, ensuring effective achievement planning, dependency management, plan reporting and recommending revisions to the plan where appropriate. This role also delivers global projects / initiatives and provides organisational change and knowledge management support (e.g. standard methodology sharing) to the sub functions in delivering their plans and supports Regions by providing analytical information, reports etc to enable them to deliver their targets and establish one repository of key management data/insights globally. Besides, one of the key objective for this role is to Lead the XCELerate initiatives related to Procurement acting as Functional Expert on behalf of NC Procurement, supporting the workstreams on development and implementation of new procurement processes and technologies. This role is pivotal in providing Procurement expert guidance to ensure new processes are fit for purpose, support the wider XCELerate teams on seamless integration of innovative processes and technologies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Handle the delivery of the coordinated Procurement Plan with Global and Regional partners in Procurement to ensure effective geographic achievement planning, dependency management, reporting and recommend revisions to the plan where appropriate.
  • Strategy Development & Implementation: Support the Group Head of NC Procurement and Categories Managers to drive the development and implementation of procurement strategies and reporting. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure effective integration of Procurement strategies into the broader Line of Sight.
  • Process Design & Optimization: Design and optimize procurement processes, demonstrating industry standard methodologies and new technologies which will be assessed as part of XCELerate. Conduct functional assessments of the new technologies and evaluate their compatibility with existing WoW. Link with Category Management and Functional Transformation Manager. Ensure seamless integration of digital transformation initiatives into day-to-day procurement operations.
  • Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with Project Managers and XCELerate Workstream Leads to align procurement transformation initiatives with the overall program goals. Work closely with key partners to understand business requirements and incorporate feedback into the procurement workstreams.
  • ‘Outside In’ Insights: Provide expert insights into market trends, benchmarking, and new technologies to drive continuous improvement in Procurement in terms of Procurement Strategy, Business Insights, and Digital Transformation. Engage with Central Operation Excellence on Consulting organizations such as Hackett, Procurement Leaders and Gartner on a periodic basis.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of new procurement strategy, processes and technologies. Support the design of trainings to procurement teams to improve their capabilities

Procurement is a global line organization that delivers direct and indirect procurement to Operations and Commercial, with above market management of categories and suppliers.

The Procurement organization design sets a clear delineation between the development of procurement strategy (Global) and the execution of it (either Global or local).

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Experience

  • Demonstrated ability in handling workstreams within global programmes
  • Experience in handling sophisticated projects and programmes to improve performance and deliver service supported by excellent knowledge/skills in Project management principles and practices.

Skills & Qualification:

  • Procurement Experience: track record of extensive experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationship management, and procurement operations.
  • Business Strategy Accum: An excellent understanding of the role of procurement within the global supply chain operations, specifically an understanding of the role of procurement strategy in supporting the corporate and operations strategy.
  • Process Expertise: solid knowledge of existing procurement processes and a confirmed ability to craft, optimise, and implement innovative procurement workflows.
  • Technology Proficiency: expertise in utilising procurement technologies such as Coupa and SAP.
  • Digital Fluency: good understanding of how digital tools and technologies can transform and optimise procurement processes.
  • Procurement Operating Model: strong comprehension of the procurement operating model, both at the central and local levels, with the ability to align strategies and initiatives accordingly.
  • Dedicated and Accountable: proactive, self-motivated individual capable of taking ownership of initiatives, driving projects forward, and delivering results within established timelines.
  • Innovation and Curiosity: consistently seeking out and proposing creative solutions to procurement challenges. Embraces a forward-thinking attitude to drive continuous improvement.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: adept at approaching challenges with a creative attitude, providing unique and effective solutions to complex procurement issues.
  • Partner management and Integration: Strong Partner management with high maturity of interpersonal skills, professional communication and presentation, proactive influencer and integrator in team collaboration.
