ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

BAT Indonesia is looking for an experienced channel development officer to join our time!

You will be responsible in supporting the entrusted channel day-to-day management in driving revenue growth, market expansion through marketing and trade programs / activations. This roles requires a fast-paced, strategic thinker with a high passion to leverage the opportunity in the market trends, growing the entrusted channel and capturing it through impactful strategies that aligns with our business objectives.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with partners, driving sales through indirect channels, and achieving sales targets. This role demands excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Reports to: Channel Development Manager

Geographic Scope: Local

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR             

  1. Implement channel sales strategies to achieve revenue targets including identify and recruit new channel partners.
  2. Manage relationships with existing partners to maximize sales opportunities.
  3. Monitor and analyze channel performance and provide regular reports.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to align channel strategies with business objectives.
  5. Develop marketing programs and campaigns to support channel sales.
  6. Negotiate contracts and agreements with channel partners.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  8. Track and report channel budgets and supports resource allocation effectively.
  9. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for channel sales.
  10. Provide regular updates to senior management on channel development activities.

KEY TARGET OF THIS ROLE

  • Achieve channel ambition & Support the growth plan for channel through market expansion, trade programs and activation
  • Collaborates strongly internally with marketing and trade to align on business strategies translation into channel action plans
  • Impactful external engagements with key customers and agencies to ensure excellence executions of channel programs

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited higher learning institution or equivalent combination of experience and education (preferred area of study: Marketing, Business, Communications, Economics, or other similar fields.
  • Ideally, not less than three years' experience in a sizeable FMCG company (preferable an MNC).
  • A robust experience in Sales or Marketing is preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies / customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent knowledge of software skills (excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and word) and fast learner.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to provide training and support to partners.
  • Fundamentals financial acumen and strong budget management skills.
