British American Tobacco Iberia has an exciting opportunity for a Trade Intelligence Executive in Lisbon
The key objectives of this role are to leverage analytical skills to transform data from various sources into actionable insights aligned with company goals, and to apply financial expertise in managing the field force incentive scheme.
What is the direct impact on the team or organization?
- Drive growth in SOM (Sales on Market) and OTS (On-Time Stock) performance.
- Develop and implement strategies for New Product Introductions (NPIs).
- Develop programmes to ensure strategic SKUs distribution levels
- Serve as the key liaison between the Field Force and HQ, particularly for IT system-related matters.
- Monitor and analyze the achievement of objectives, translating insights into actionable steps to boost company performance.
- Oversee and manage the incentive scheme for our commercial network, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with goals.
- Plan and coordinate trade activities within CRM systems, ensuring efficient field force visit optimization.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Align the Trade Intelligence strategy across all company functions.
- Ensure timely deployment of activity cycles in collaboration with all key market stakeholders.
- Manage budget control and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
- Present activities, post-implementation reviews, and tactical plans at various forums.
- Own and communicate the Field Force (FF) incentive scheme to the Payroll department.
- Monitor monthly field force activities, track incentive targets, and ensure target achievement.
- Ensure efficient distribution levels across all product categories, with a particular focus on New Product Introductions (NPIs) and pipeline development.
- Oversee environmental, health, and safety standards to ensure the company meets both internal and external requirements. Implement industry best standards to improve employee well-being.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, marketing or similar
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Trade-Brand Marketing team, sales force or data agency.
- Ideally, professional background in an FMCG company that has incorporated a trade channel and account management approach.
- User knowledge of content editing skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and also CRM: PowerBI, Sales Force or similar
- Strong analytical background with excellent numerical skills and the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets.
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Problem solving approach with a can-do attitude
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proactive in decision making and proposals
- Strategic vision of channel and whole company
- Proficiency in English language (C1) and Portuguese, Spanish is a nice to have
