British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Executive in Monterrey

The Corporate Finance Specialist will support the Corporate Finance Manager to oversee the month end closure and facilitate and manage the QPRs & Company Plan processes by controlling of the Overheads Budgets. The role is responsible to oversee the hosted and project roles recharges process in order to preserve consistency and ensure compliance with the reporting guidelines as per Group requirements, GBS Europe policies and procedures. Responsible for aligning and ensuring consistency in hosted roles management across all GBS Hubs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure accurate design and implementation of cost centre structure and system reports in order to increase efficiency and to properly reflect business changes
  • Ensure the accuracy of the financial data posted and actively supervise the accruals balance and generates monthly financial overview presentation for management.
  • Participates in controlling, reviewing and validating financial data to provide management with timely and accurate financial information to enable effective and efficient decision-making.
  • Monitors recharges of Hosted roles and highlights any risks in cashflow
  • Performs ad hoc analysis as required by Head of Finance for actuals and planning scenarios
  • Constantly improve ways of working and drive for efficiency (simplification) and data accuracy for reporting purposes
  • Ensure and develop a good relationship with the team in order to share knowledge, analyse report data, offer and improve good professional services, understand and apply fiscal legislation and IFRS.
  • Establish and maintain a positive relationship with internal customers, provide technical support and advice to other departments, collaborate with external auditors if needed.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 2-5 years of similar experience in Finance with a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
  • Business Partnering skills - ability to develop good working relationship with key partners. Apply a commercial approach to all activities.
  • Understand the impact of the accounting process and practice (IFRS and group reporting guidelines). Good knowledge of Management Accounting techniques in relation to Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, detail oriented. An eye for detail to understand the platforms and analyse reports, identify issues and challenges within reports functionalities and data.
  • Understand and apply relevant financial skills and knowledge and have a detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically BI/ BPC, SAP or ERP equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Excellent spreadsheet & computer skills.
  • Crafting & maintaining a sound control environment within Finance function & across the business.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
