LOCATION: Sunway Geo Tower, Bandar Sunway, Selangor
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The D&A Finance Product Owner will lead and deliver projects in the area of Data, Reporting, Visualization & Advanced Analytics as assigned by the Team Manager or Practice Head by combining data science, visualization and storytelling skills.
Reports to: Senior Manager, Corporate Analytics
Reporting Level: Individual Contributor
Geographic Scope: Selangor, Malaysia
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Proficient in the selection and application of appropriate statistic and modelling techniques for BAT’s financial information
- Provides objective analysis to support data interpretation and has a key role in managing the expectation of possible data outputs and insights into performance indicators
- Research externally & internally what new solutions, tools and capabilities can be adopted by the Data & Analytics team (D&A) team to become more efficient, and innovative
- Correlates findings of Finance metrics with the business metrics (stick volume, Profit, NTO etc.)
- Leads product/solution development projects by engaging business stakeholders, captures requirements and indirectly manages delivery teams within D&A Centre of Expertise (D&A CoE) to productionize solution.
- Translates analytics led business requirements into technical requirements, adopting a creative and problem-solving approach
- The jobholder should be leading independent delivery, engaging stakeholders & delivering value
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- University Degree, preferably a Technical Education background
- Minimum 4 years of work experience in domain, technical experience, and project management in a large-scale organisation.
- Attention to details and ability to produce accurate work
- Significant work on cross functional projects
- Adaptable to learn new process, concepts, and skills
- Advanced knowledge of RDBMS tools like SQL, Oracle along with SAP and SAP Cloud
- Expertise in Qlik, Tableau, MicroStrategy or Power BI along with solid understanding of UI / UX tools
- Hands on experience in Business Objects, SAP BW on Hana, Hyperion
- Expertise in SPSS, SAS, R or Python along with deep knowledge of analytics data preparation, analysis & modelling
- Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to translate big amounts of data into insights and business value
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
