British American Tobacco Costa Ricahas an exciting opportunity for a Financial Planning & Reporting Manager in Heredia
This position leads the Planning & Reporting team in Costa Rica, supporting the United States. This role also plays an important part in supporting our strategic initiatives, commercial decisions, and impacts performance and profitability. Responsibilities include leading the teams supporting actual reporting, forecasting, strategy development, and business partnering. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, and ability to articulate financial strategy, results, and forecasts to the Senior Finance Leadership Team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead, develop and sustain strong business partnering relationships for teams supporting the Commercial Planning & Analysis team for the USA.
- Lead team supporting the management reporting of actual results and forecast, including insights and commentary.
- Building financial models for business cases.
- Identify business levers and recommendations that drive profitability and actuals tracking.
- Develop business and operational metrics to provide key guidance to the organization.
- Develop robust analytics and reporting for the organization's finance statements.
- Present and communicate to Leadership the forecasts, performance, and potential risks/opportunities of financial performance.
- Provide leadership and coordination to drive continuous department improvement. Lead special projects as needed.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, or related area with strong knowledge of finance / analytics and commercial acumen.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capacity for innovation and ability to make quick decisions, use good judgment, and ask relevant questions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Business Partners and influence commercial decisions.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking with strong influencing and leadership skills and ability to think strategically, assess risk, recommend solutions, and clearly articulate a recommendation.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High sense of urgency, work ethic, flexibility and oriented to detail.
- Must demonstrate financial responsibility and reliability.
- Ability to challenge the status quo as necessary.
- Proficient in written and verbal English.
