JOB TITLE: Warehouse Executive

FUNCTION: Operations - Logistics

CITY & COUNTRY: Colombo, Sri Lanka

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES


Assist the Assistant Manager of Customer Services in efficiently issuing Finished Goods to distributors in alignment with orders received from Marketing. Maintain adherence to BAT recommended pest and hygiene standards, warehouse best practices, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

Operations / Professional / Business

  • Receive stocks from the Secondary Manufacturing Department and issue stocks, ensuring First-In-First-Out rotation of stock to distributors.
  • Maintain 100% stock accuracy in the Finished Goods Warehouse.
  • Ensure 100% On-Time-In-Full stock availability in the market by managing stock levels of Colombo & Kandy Finished Goods warehouses.
  • Manage the shelf life of Finished Goods in the two warehouses.
  • Manage Maximum Retail Price changeovers of Finished Goods in warehouses.
  • Lead all aspects of Secondary Logistics Operations of CTC, including managing Finished Goods & Re-Dried Leaf truck fleet.
  • Implement and maintain Integrated Work Systems within Logistics.
  • Provide periodic reports/updates to key partners on Finished Goods stocks when required.

Leadership:

  • Provide effective leadership to Finished Goods warehouse teams to achieve departmental objectives, acquiring extensive knowledge of SAP transactions.
  • Develop good relationships with internal and external key partners and service providers.
  • Improve the skills of Third-Party Logistics handlers and align their knowledge on operational standard processes through training and mentorship.

Innovation:

  • Take ownership of performance improvements and quality-related activities in the process while proactively identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators of the warehouse operation, supporting People Safety and Environmental Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensure 100% On-Time-In-Full sale of Finished Goods to distributors and Finished Goods transfers from Colombo to Kandy.
  • Possess knowledge in Environmental Health and Safety and Pest & Hygiene Management Guidelines, BAT Best Practices, and local regulatory requirements applicable.
  • Drive towards zero major accidents in CTC Finished Goods Warehouse by emphasizing Environmental Health and Safety standard processes.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated team leadership capabilities with strong collaborative and influencing skills.
  • Effective partner engagement with internal and key external authorities, contractors, etc.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety guidelines and BAT Best Practices, as well as local regulatory requirements applicable.
