ROLE PROFILE

JOB TITLE: Procurement ESG Data Analyst

FUNCTION: GBS

CITY & COUNTRY: Warsaw, Poland

REPORTS TO: Head of GBS Procurement

Context

  • The role will manage processes around data and performance reporting, to service the Procurement ESG Team as required.
  • The role will be responsible for owning and maintaining the holistic repository of data by consolidating all internal and external data such as spend, supplier data, third party data, environmental data, compliance reporting data and miscellaneous information.
  • The role will report against business & procurement ESG KPIs relative to Social, Climate and Deforestation and support of compliance to future CSRD requirements.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Tracking and monitoring of Menu cards to calculate emissions savings to contribute to BAT Corporate commitment 50% Emissions reduction by 2030, net zero by 2050.
  • Tracking and monitoring of supplier’s phase assessment to consider compliance to BAT requirements for throughput of emissions reduction reporting.
  • Tracking and monitoring of suppliers’ supply chain management of their Pulp and Paper Based SC.
  • Management and escalation of non-approved suppliers who fail audits for escalation into SCDD (Supply Chain Due Diligence Committee) and remediation plans with end markets (Scope all markets where suppliers have operations).
  • Conflict Mineral Statement compliance from all NC suppliers that are supplying 3TG within their products to BAT so that audit of smelters occurs and are compliant BAT annual Statement as well as Sanctions compliance relative to all suppliers through the CRA tool (3500 suppliers+).
  • Modern Slavery Statement so that all results from audits of suppliers + SCOC compliance for all suppliers 35000 suppliers are tracking and compliant for inclusion into the annual BAT Modern Slavery Statement.
  • To provide data cleansing, building and enrichment and categorise data to enable Procurement to efficiently gain information they need.
  • To maintain or work within the remit of data protection regulations / data security associated with NDA’s, Intellectual Property etc. working closely with Legal.
  • To be responsible for responding to data requests and providing data required to monitor and analyse compliance to source to settle policies and process across the organisation.
  • To prepare reports and dashboards for the Procurement T&M (tracking and monitoring) cycle.
  • To report on performance (with Planning and Reporting Lead).
  • To support Category Managers and Sourcing Managers with spend analysis.
  • To support Procurement downloading and generating performance and compliance reports or their own dashboards, where required.
  • To provide supplier reports required including for the purposes of supplier screening (and the associated results report), KYS checks etc. working closely with the GBS Supplier Risk Lead.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Five plus year experience in data management & Analytics.
  • Experience and awareness of data to complete performance management and compliance reporting.
  • Experience in ESG KPI metrics and requirements.
  • Prior experience in managing complex, high-risk projects and programmes to improve performance and deliver service relative to ESG.
  • Sound knowledge of corporate regulations and legislation to enable identification of contractual and supplier benefits and to increase compliance.
  • Experience in data mining and managing large data sets.
  • Experience in collaborating with global teams and managing many stakeholder requirements and expectations.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities and experience in visualization and simulation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

SKILLS

  • High level of commercial awareness.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be able to analyze complex datasets and distil key insights and to quality assure the work of others.
  • A sufficient degree of numerical skills to enable data analysis.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships working across the category teams and cross functionally.
  • A “can do” attitude with a real willingness to drive continuous improvement through generating innovative ideas, gathering feedback from users.
  • Interest in Sustainable Supply Chains, Procurement and Analytics for sustainable operations.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics/Data Science is desirable, not mandatory.
  • A source to settle technology certification (e.g., Coupa or Ariba) is desirable, not mandatory.
